94 Wagon and 94 Cabriolet
Car 1992 Sportline
Fenders rolled, but all stock suspension

Wheels 17 x 7.5 x et35
tires 215 x 50 x 17 Michelin Ice X

For winter snow shoes, I think the slightly taller 50s make sense on a lowered 300e.

Don't try and run 8.5's on the front! Especially with 255/45/18 tires.

94 Wagon and 94 Cabriolet
On 1995 Cabriolet:
AMG Aero I's 17 x 8 et35, fenders rolled
Michelin Pilots 225x45 zr17
took some work - higher ET would have been better with 8" width rim maybe 38 to 40 would have saved a little fender work.

You're supposed to put the stats of the wheels in your post along with the pictures.

Some of you have CLEAR issues with rubbing just by looking at your pics. You need to state the severity of the rubbing/ride issues. Please go and edit your missed info RHW, Termite, szvook, Hietala, OZopera etc...

Hey! Just noticed your question.

I thought to post back that these (17" aero I) wheels rubbed after being worked, but the 'edit' function was already disabled.

And I had the ET wrong - no such thing as an aero I et35, (so no one here will ever face off with my problem).

DUDE! You've made like 3 threads already. This is an info thread on what WORKS, not another "will this fit" thread.

Read both pages and see for yourself.

update:
Now with R129 SL600 front calipers by Brembo, 334mm discs, and SL600 rear calipers, by ATE, 300mm discs.
17" rims minimum for clearance, rear dustshields trimmed to allow the larger discs. Later, E500 does not require cutting.

500E Signal Rot
AMG two piece wheels (from SL600) in 18x8.5 +25mm for the front and 18x10" +25mm for the rear. Running General UHP 245/40/18 on the front and 275/35/18 for the rear.

Had the wheels taken apart, refinsihed and the centers painted gloss black. Also use the MB center caps w/chrome star (also painted gloss black).

Car runs OE struts and sls with H&R Sport springs, lowering the car approx. another 1" or so. No rubbing of course.

Ride height: Lowered with Lesjøfors springs, and 1 bump infront and 2 bump at the rear. Pretty low, but could be lowered even more.

Rubbing: The only rubbing is from my left rear tire when the car is loaded or it hit bumps hard at speed. I have not rolled any of my fenders yet, but I will roll them any day now to get rid of that little rubbing I got.

Scraping: Get scraping from my exhaust at speed bumps and anywhere the middle of the road is visibly taller than the treadmarks.. But that is pretty easy to avoid by using your head.
