W124 Aerial Replacement

I had the arieal replaced and it failed again so i got a replacement unit only to find that the guy that installed the first time had done a cowboy's job and used a steel strip to attached the base of the unit to the side guard. Does any one have an installation diagram for the correct installation method and the parts list for it.

1994 White an Grey E320 "Shado"
Antenna installation

Removing And Installing Antenna

1 Remove antenna rod (9)
2 Remove cover on left wheel house recess
3.1 Open side trim in right rear
3.2 Remove side trim in trunk
4 Disconnect ground cable of support plate (7)
5 Remove tuner/amplifier (trunk) (A2/3)
6 Disconnect antenna cable and unscrew nut (6)

On rear/rod antenna
7.1 Remove support plate (7) and antenna base (8)

On rear antenna
7.2 Remove antenna base (8) inwards
8 Loosen roof trim at rear
9 Pull grommet (1) off roof antenna (A2/22)

NOTE: Installation note: E3 Install grommet (1) using special tool

"Special Tool - Assembly Tool II" given below.



10 Unlock roof antenna with special tool and remove downwards.

See "Special Tools- Assembly Tool I" given below.



11 Install in reverse order
