Interesting wheels
Hi Ste,
Welcome. Nice 124 car. Who makes the wheels? I have never seen them.

I believe they are Brabus Monoblock III's and yeah they are really nice. I'm looking for a set (preferably in 17x7.5) for my E420. Either those or the Evo II wheels.

bd37703,
Nice 124 car. What size tires do you run on those 16 X 7.5 rims.
I am looking at the same size wheels and wondering what tires I can fit without making any fender/suspension mods.

Thanks siggi,
The wheels look like they are off of an E420. I would love to know the tire size. DO they rub? Did you have to modify the suspension or the fenders for clearance?

CME4BENZ,
16x7.5 and 17x7.5 will pose no probs to your car with no suspension mods, it may, however, look weird, since the profile of the tires will be smaller, creating a larger gap in the wheel wells. I have 17x7.5 right now, my car is lowered SIGNIFICANTLY and I get no rub, nor have I modified my fenders. My AMG MonoII's are directly off a 1996 C36 AMG and fit fine. I am in the process of putting my 18x8 Carlsson 2/6's and I have work to do, but that is a separate issue ![]() Have fun with your Benzo's everyone!

ZorroAMG,
Thanks for the input. I want to fill the wheel wells a little as well as adding a little bigger footprint. Stock combo is 15" wheels with 195/65/15s. I am looking at 16 X7.5s and 215/55/16 tires. Was thinking of putting on a 215/60/16 to get a little more circumference (fill the wells a little more) but tirerack will not "gaurantee" that the 60s will not rub.
I like the E420 17s on "siggis" car. I am not planning to lower it or am I looking for a "slammed" look. I just want a little more tire. Any suggestions are appreciated.

the tires on my car are 215/45 in front and 235/40 at back. They don´t rub unless I take a speed bump by suprise , but the car is lowered but like I said, I bought the car as it is now. I have not done anything to it but clean it inside and outside, and drive it I have to say that it is a bit to low for my taste but I´m going to try it for a bit before deciding what to do - keep it lowered or bring it to original specs. siggi |
