400E Stock Phone Options?

I have a stock, hardwired phone system in my '93 400E. I was thinking that it'd be pretty awesome if there was some was to convert it into a funtional phone system via bluetooth or something. I mean, how awesome would that be?!

If anyone has any ideas or have done this already, it'd be much appreciated! Thanks!!

Electronics upgrade

I am facing the same issue with my 95 e320 Cab... so I just bought a new complete sound system with all the new gadgets to find in a new car except Nav... the guys from CrutchField were great... they seem to know everything about my car... which is a amazing and I bought a completely new sound system which has not only all the Bluetooth need but Sat and internet access... all in a 1995 vintage car

The factory phone is ANALOG, not digital. It is completely obsolete. You will need to figure out how to rip out the transceiver in the trunk, and wire up something to the handset and overhead display so that you can bluetooth to what ever you put in.

Good luck. If you are the one person to do this, you will be an instant hero in 124 land. Go for it!

Got a buddy who does wiring down in SoCal. Sent him the handset and the box in the trunk. He said he'll look into it as a project. If anything comes of it, will post =)

Just use the switched 12v there for the analog phone to connect to your cellphone.

Any up dates on this project, its something I would like to do.

I am in need of a sound system upgrade and would like blue tooth and sat radio with quality sound. If someone has figured out how to adapt a mic into the old visor mic box in my 93' 300CE that would be sweet.

Any help with ideas?

Thanks
Ron
