This is for AMGDave or anyone else who can clue me in before I waste too much time!

Kind Sirs, Sorry to bother with such a noob question! I was afraid to start a topic. But, here is my situation I have a 1987 300D Wagon/Estate/T, my rear end sounds bad grinding noisy or possibly the bearings. So I was thinking I already have a 1992 400E complete rear end and cradle can I swap it out. Will I have problems with the drive shaft fitment, etc? I know this is stupid 2:24 vs 2:65 now it will be even slower!

But I have it on hand and when I do more of "AMGDave's" mods to it. It won't be as slow!

Please chime in when you have a chance,

Cardude
