Disappearing oil?

I drive a 1991 300e, and recently my oil has just been disappearing. It isn't milky, and I placed a piece of cardboard underneath my car over night to see if it was leaking (I don't always park in the same spot), and it's not leaking. I had it topped off yesterday because I had basically no oil in it, and today after I drove an hour to work there's basically no oil in it again! Any ideas?

Think about what you have said--the only other avenue for oil to be consumed and not leaking or mixing with coolant is in the combustion process-----bad rings----bad valve guides----get a compression test quickly!!

That is weird to say the least. If you burnt that much oil you would see the smoke behind you.If it was leaking below you would see it on the garage floor.
I use a quantity of oil in my Coupe because of the stupid timing cover seal which is a PITA to change and generally you can see a build up from front to rear of opil sludge on the underneath and down the left side under the exhaust manifold.
Butter never something liek 3-4 litres overnight.
