I have a 1995 E320 and recently I started having issues with my audio system. If I turn on the radio, the antenna does not come up, however all the lights come on and it shows the station I am tuned into. The cassette player doesn't work either, that is, no sound comes out when I try to play a tape (well, really my tape converter with my phone plugged in). I can eject the tape, seek tracks, I can change the radio station, just no sound. Could it be an issue with the amp? And why does the antenna not come up if its just an amp issue?

The antenna does not come up because there is an open circuit(switch/motor) and your radio is shot---get a new one!!
