1995 E320 Wagon
Home made Hammer?

Hi guys, I've finally pryed our 95 e320 wagon from the wife's hands. I had to replace it with something "newer". I've been dreaming of the day I get to have my way with her. It's a solid runner and a very clean white wagon with factory Crome wheels, and M104 motor, so it's pretty enough. I want to build a sleeper. I've read about the c63 AMG swap. Eh... I had something more substantial in mind. I'm a veteran and worked as a CH-47 Chinook mechanic and Flight Engeer. I've pulled motors and rebuilt them or replaced them with slightly build ones. Installing new cams, exhaust, etc...I'm not afraid of a mechanical chalienge and know my way around the wagon. Replaced the trans, replaced water pump, etc. the trans I pulled had lost reverse. I have a master rebuild kit and going to take on rebuilding it.
I'm looking to get at least 300hp, more should be nice, but I'll start with that as a baseline. I'm planning on installing the sport line components. I have all the part numbers.

So with all that being said,

what's the best modifications, engine swap, 5.0 V8, 3.6 AMG, turbo? And what will the stock 722.369 Trans and reared handle?
So let me hear your thoughts. Any pictures?!

Thanks

You could keep the m104, just get a turbobandit kit for it and get reliable 1000hp.
