W124 Reverse troubles
My 1992 300d with 304,000 miles started giving me reverse troubles. Last week when I put it in reverse to back up it acted like it was hung up on something and didn't want to go. It would go forward but hesitated in reverse. It finally went into gear and I was able to back up. Well it did it again today and it took a couple of minutes for it engage normally. I would shift between the gears and it finally backed up normal. It would go in drive fine and pull forward and if put in neutral it would roll forward. It acted like it was in a bind or hung on something. Could it be that the differential mounts are worn and its putting the differential in an awkward pitch? I know that the differential mounts need replacing due to the bumps it makes when placed in gear. I've replaced the rear flex disc and haven't had time to do the front one. Any ideas of what it could be? Thanks!

Out Of Control!!
You do not have an issue with the disc's.Your issue is either with with a shifter solenoid on the conductor plate or low fluid level.---Not a DIY---find a joint that has access to MB DAS

Thanks for the reply! I think my trans is getting ready to go out. It doesn't do it all the time just occasionally and with the mileage I've started getting prices on replacing it.
