Please help with 93 mercedes firing problem

Hello, I am new here and I would greatly appreciate any help that anyone here could give. I have a 1993 mercedes 300E, the center coil seems to have been dead, so I replaced it, now, it has power going to the coil but no spark coming out of the wires, so I switched coils with another cylinder, same thing, is it possible that the center coil is not receiving impulse? the other two are working fine so the end result is that it only runs on four cylinders. I do have power going to the coil, but no spark out of the wires.

Was this a new OEM coil or a used coil that you are calling new because it is new to your car and now you have difficulty explaining this to the customer!!

The coil is a new Bosh brand coil bought online, the customer would be me, as it is my vehicle and coil is not the prblem anyway as I switched it out with one of the other coils and it worked fine in that position and the coil that I switched it with is not firing in the center postion either. Again, the coil has power to it, but no fire coming ot to the spark plugs, I am guessing that there has to be something that sends a pulse to the coils, but as I am not familiar with this cars system yet, I am wanting to learn so I can fix this car and drive it.

Thanks for the effort but none of the engines in the diagram match what I have, mine has three coils positioned under the center cap of the valve cover, each coil opperates two spark plugs, the center coil acts as if it is dead, but if that coil is switched with one of the other coils it fires perfectly, the wire coming to the coil has power, checked while car is running, but no fire out of the coil, I am guessing that it has to be some component that sends a pulse signal to the coil but do not know what that could be that acts independently of the remaining two coils.

It is a 1993 300E with 3.2L six cylinder engine, I opened the wiring harness from the coil to the larger harness outside the valve cover, also exposed the wires at the conector for the coil, the center wire has voltage with key on and that feeds back to the other wire, however when cranking, or running the brown wire does not pulse as it should, now, the remaining two coils are opperating fine, is it possible that a crank sensor or cam sensor could send a good pulse to two of the coils and not the third?
