Intake Manifold Oil Leak

Hello All!

This is for a 1987 300D

After doing a diesel purge, I noticed that I had an oil leak at the #1 cylinder of the intake manifold (which I thought was weird). The leak is right where the the intake manifold (at cylinder #1) meets the head...I am assuming that this is a failed intake manifold gasket, as I don't know what else it could be! The picture is hard to see, but you can see a black splotch (at #1 cylinder) which is the oil leak.

Does an oil leak at the intake manifold gasket make sense? Would it be the gasket? I have always heard the blown intake manifold gaskets leak coolant and not oil...What is going on??

Lastly, if I am to replace the intake manifold gasket, do you have any suggestions??? There are things in the way (fuel lines and clips, etc) that the FSM does not mention.

As always thank you for the help!
