1994 E320 cruise control not working

Any suggestions on where to start looking? Pics of what to look for?

tire size?
I m not sure how sensitive 124's are but on a 210 when i had the wrong tyre size, cruise didn't work.
fuse?
dirty contact on switch?

Cruise control just doesnt engage. I dont know where tobegin troubleshooting issue

There may be mane causes.
The easiest way is to use the diagnostic tool.

My cruise on my 300E only works when I'm on an incline. It's the weirdest thing, if I'm going uphill or down hill it will work, on flat ground it's just dead.

I haven't had the time or inclination to hunt down the problem yet. I believe it could be a problem with the control block. If you remove your glove box toward the center of the car you'll see a big box with a whole mess of vacuum lines coming out of it. I saw it when I was replacing the fan for the cabin temperature sensor.
