new owner 95 e320 "idle speed control inoperative"
hello new to the forum. Just bought a 1995 e320 geo green sedan with 128k mi. The car runs great and is in pretty good shape interior wise but the body has quite a few minor scrapes nothing major. I would like to fully restore this car to factory condition I have cleaned the interior to a point that it's like a space station. My next priority is repairing any mechanical issues and then onto body work. My question relates to the check engine light.
I got 6 blinks and that is the only code coming up which is apparently "inoperative idle speed control" the car idles at about 700 which I imagine is proper for this engine, seems to be running fine but I would guess needs a basic service. Any ideas on how to fix or what might be causing an inoperative idle speed control when it seems to idle fine? Forgive me if a search could have resolved this but I couldn't seem to find anything

Hi will you look under the hood at the throttle linkage, You will see two micro switches check them to see if they work . Just pull the linkage away from the switch and it will click if its working.
