Weight reduction, wheel selection
Looking to Increase mpg beyond good tire pressure and a solid running engine and I'm 145lbs soaking wet so I'm not the issue lol. I'm going to remove full spare and use aaa if I need and run flat tires. The only logical places I. Can see to save weight would be that, lightweight wheels and carbon fiber trunk and hood. Trying to keep stock otherwise I haven't been able to find any cf stuff for this car. I'm thinking some gold wheels will look good with the green. Opinion?

You can also consider going for a light weight battery like the Odyssey PC680 series. The W124 is a very heavy car so weight reduction may be of marginal benefits. An Alfa buddy of mine who is a motoring enthusiast went as far as removing all unnecessary accessories like back seats, radio, tools, etc. when going for a spin.
