I have a 1994 E320 Cabriolet originally delivered to Switzerland that has among many things, an infrared remote locking. The E320 cabriolets in the US were never offered with this option but the 94 S class were. My question is what control module fits my car? Presently it has the standard 124 820 59 26, but I suspect this is the original as there is no reference to this specific module being for the infrared system. I believe that possibly sometime in the past since the car has been in the US that the infrared module needed to be replaced and someone replaced it with what was easily found at the time; i.e. the standard 124 820 59 26 module now in the car.

Can anyone offer any help as to which actual module the factory used on this A124? Someone suggested the model from the same era R129s; module 129 820 06 26 but have not been able to confirm any of this even through the dealer MBNA network.

I suggest you send your VIN and inquiry to Danilo or Uwe over at www.speed-autoteile.com in Berlin.

They will be able to nail down which module is correct for your Swiss market A124.
