Before I attempt it again, I just wanted to verify how to change the license plate light bulbs on my 2000 E320. I've heard you have to remove the inside truck lid liner to access the bulbs. This means pulling out all these little black plugs and it appears some don't come out easily. I was afraid I'd break one off. Is this correct? I also tried removing the little plastic cover from the outside of the trunk (just above the license plate covering the light bulbs) and it didn't budge after removing the 2 screws. There's a 3rd metal pin that holds the center in place. I wasn't sure if this was removable. Any help is appreciated.
