Another Tire and Wheel Question

I’m still trying to decide on a set of wheels for my ’01 E320 / W210 chassis. I found a set of AMG wheels that are 18x8 et 30 for the front and 18x9 et39 for the rear. The recommended tires would be 235/40/18 for the front and 265/35/18 for the rear.

Here’s the dilemma; the wheels are really for the newer W211 chassis but the seller tells me that these wheels fit correctly on my W210. He tells me that I would need a full set of 12mmx1.5 bolts with an R14 ball seat lug bolts.

Anyone agree or disagree with this set-up?

Thanks

It's doable but it is not recommended due to safety concerns. This has been discussed before and the consensus was to NOT do it.

Thanks for the reply; I assume it isn't considered safe due to the lug bolt. I would think if they had the proper ball seat it would be okay but I guess not. Not much point in buying one of the worlds safest automobiles and then making it unsafe due to upgrading the wheels.

Any other feedback?
