E320 performance upgrades

I think the only worthy upgrades to the 320 motor is a Kompressor by Kleemann. However, be ready to sell your kidney to get it installed. Last time I asked, the Kompressor itself is 11-12k and install is another 2-3k. Other than installing a Kompressor, it's mostly mental HP. You won't feel the difference
I have a remapped ECU, UD pulley, cat back exhaust, K&N and it is still pretty slow

If you want SUSPENSION performance, which is equally as useful, moreso really, in daily driving, I can suggest the inexpensive upgrades I did to my 2001 E320, which as you may know, leaves the lot feeling numb, loose, pillowy and disengaged from the driver.
- 17" AMG wheels (chromed -- probably a mistake as tires are now leaking) $1300
- Bridgestone Potenza tires
- Eibach springs $450 which perfectly lowered car 1.5"
- Koni shocks (adjustable, set to easiest ride) $300 installed? can't remember.
All this cost under $2,500, and made it a completely different car in handling.
For pure vanity, I had the stock muffler and resonator replaced at 100k with a Remus muffler (without resonator) which gives a subdued, throaty sound. $750.
I did not do 18" wheels concerned with a harsher ride and the overdone appearance in chrome -- this was 7 years ago when that sized wheel was not common --, and I didn't put in Eibach's stiffer anti-sway bar thinking it was probably overkill.
I agree that if torque is your objective, get a car with more torque, like the E55.

1996 mercedes benz e320 with s option
HP+
Buy a bigger engine I have seen MB engines that are in good used condition and come rebuilt for as low as 1000$ that have more hp but you will have to also swap out the trans and any systems controlling them as well but I think if you really want hp over looks buy a 350 and a th400 and strap some upgrades on that baby you will def need to be savy with a wrench or know someone who does and is willing to help you do it. Stray away from the fact that you need MB performance parts for performance because MB is performance parts already unless you can get ahold of amg turbo or supercharger and manage to fit it on a the MB Inline 6 or whatever you have but even then your performance wont jump as high as you would expect sure you could fabricate mounts for a aftermarket forced induction system but it may ruin your motor if turbo or supercharger supporting upgrades aren't installed as well. it can be done just look at the 1987 e190 touring car they did it but most of those parts were designed to fit the motor were specificaly engineered by amg to fit that car only youd be lucky to find something like that now days another option gut the interior youd be suprized how much weight you can remove to improve your cars handling ability and acceleration.

You just want to keep your 2003 w211 but want a more mussel sounding car??? Are there any headers available? Is it better to run 2 CAIs (one on each side)?
I have a 2003 I want to drop with some lowering springs because I have been told them feel better then coilovers. I was wanting to do headers with a catback but I was told I could get codes thrown.
Should I pull the headers and wrap them or coat them in heat resistant?
I need some realistic ideas and suggestions without dishing out thousands of dollars...
and don't say it can't be done and you need to buy another car...
Will there is a will there is a way... I have seen ppl turn cars into beasts without breaking the bank... using stock rims from other models, coating intake, plastidip... ect...
Is there any parts that work off other cars?
