12v outlet

When it rains it pours...
My 12 volt outlet at the ashtray has stopped working. I have checked the 3 fuse boxes, engine comp, inst panel, under back seat all the fuses are good. As I was looking around I noticed the glove box light did not come on. Does the bulb need to be good to complete the circuit or is there a hidden fuse somewhere?

It may be the feed wire to the lighter being unplugged. It could have happened to someone who disassembled the console or worked on the radio who forgot to plug it back in.

It's easy to disassemble. Search this forum and benzworld.org as well for instructions.

Good luck.

Started troubleshooting at the glovebox light, it had the easiest access. No power. Back to the fuse box, pull fuse one. It looks ok, but fails a continuity test. Replace it and all is well.
