NO
The 96 and 97 LED flipout remotes can only be programmed once. Getting a used one will do you no good. Don't buy used ones off of Ebay or any other place because you will get ripped off.

Actually, 96 and 97 remotes CAN be reprogrammed. I forget the exact procedure, but it is actually outlined in your manual. Something to do with turn the ignition to position 2, removing the key, and then holding the transmitter button for 30 seconds or something like that.

I Hope So
I had the dealership try several times to program 2 different remotes that I picked up on Ebay. They could not get either one to program. They asked me if I just got them from the parts department because if I had a reciept, I could get them replaced. One looked new and the other was clearly used. They then told me that they could only be programmed once so if you get one from another vehicle, it will not work on another. I will check my owners manual again but I think that the only programming procedure is for the Homelink garage door opener. If you or anyone finds the procedure you are talking about, please post it on here because I would like to try it and prove the dealership wrong. They could have just been trying to sell me a knew one for $140.

Yes, you can reprogram all keys. You need to have electronic background. Since keys use one time only program IC such as PROM. You need to replace the prom on the circuit board and reprogram.
