Windshield Wiper Pump - Clogged?

Hello,

I've read the threads on the windshield wiper pumps posted in this forum. The pump on my 2002 e320 4matic wagon makes a noise and fluid comes out AT THE BOTTOM OF THE driver's side JET. The area around the pump is dry and you can hear the pump operate. However the fluid does not spray through the jets on either side. I've stuck a needle in all the jets and no change. Does anyone know how to disassemble these parts/cartridges that hold the washer jets onto the underside of the hood? Any ideas? Thanks for your help!

Im betting your pump is bad and thats what leaking. Mine did it. Very simple change. Check out autohausaz.com for the part. I think its like $25 or so.

What about checking the hoses or tubes between the pump and the nozzles?

The wife's W210 (2000 E430) is only shooting fluid thru the drivers side jets and really slowly.. Nothing on the passenger side - and I tried the pin trick - no clogs... how can I test the pump? or how do I know if the pump needs to be replaced or what??

The pump will start to leak when you try to use it and no fluid will make it to the windshield. Pumps arent expensive.
