No Fuel To Engine
Hoping there'd be more help here than on the SL forum.
I do have an 01 E55, though
My 02 SL500 died on me while driving on the highway.
Thought this was the typical CPS going bad.
However, when I got home and checked the battery noticed that it was dead (probably from running the emergency blinkers so a while).
So charged the battery up and tried to start the car. No joy.
Check the schraeder fuel valve and no fuel pressure. So figured that this was not a CPS or battery/charging problem.
Crossing my fingers I picked up a fuel relay and gave that a try. Still nothing.
Car cranks but nothing else.
I'm guessing that nearly all I have left is the fuel pump.
However, I'm wondering if I'm missing anything else?
Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Other than the relay and the fuse on the relay is there anything that could prevent the pump from running?
All I can think of now is the fuel pump as the failure point.
Thanks

Make sure you have power going through the wires if it's not getting power that could be the problem. When you get the pump out you can hook it up to the battery to see if it works.

Here's my update and (I think) problem solved.
Changed out the fuel pump and fuel filter at the same time.
Fuel filter had pretty much mud coming out of it. Really bad.
So car running great right now but my mechanic suggested I run a can of BG 44K through it to really clean the crap out and change out the filter one more time in a month or two.
