1998 e320 wagon 4-Matic :D
heres a biggy .-.
My impeccable wagon was horribly mutilated (ok not mutilated per-say but its still bad) by a very inexperienced electrician who was working on my A.C... he was passing some direct currents for some reason and when it was time to leave i started my benz and in saw the classic "display defective" I told the mechanic off and went on my way thinking it was probably just the wiper fluid sensor unplugged. driving home i realized the gas gauge was no longer marking staying at E (empty) but still with no reserve level light :\ I ran an OB2 scan and got the a code that research told me was the fuel level sensor malfunction... .-. any suggestions? o and the outside temp on the odometer display is marking -34*F which is imposible in south texas where it is 100*F daily... Any advise, tricks, tips?

Disconnect
the negative post via the easy use access port on the front upright portion of the lower passenger seat.
Let it sit for a few minutes and reconnect then resync you windows and sunroof and steering wheel angle sensor and enter your radio code.
It will reset the system(hopefully) if not toasted by someone that should not not have been messing with it anyway.

Call the shop owner and see if you can take it back in and have a competitant mechanic fix the car. Since they messed it up they should fix it.
