Single Din Flip Out Deck Installed

Just an update on my W210, purchased and installed Clarion VZ401 Flip out deck and just had it installed w/ iPod hook-up in glove box. Fits in perfectly, its a very nice deck with tons of features!

Pretty cool i'm running the Pioneer avh-p7800dvd and the sound quality is exeptional, the flip out units are a good choice when you not have the posibility to intall the 2 DIN new units

Congrats bro!

Oh nice! Yeah, aftermarket decks seem to really improve the overall sound quality. Installing a double din would have been such a headache.. So if not a double din, next best thing is a flip out =p Thanks for the comment!

You should swap the deck and climate control. That way you won't block your controls when the monitor is open. You can remove it with the same keys you used to pull the deck out with.

Yeah, thats a good idea which I'll probably end up doing. I realize that its a bit irritating now since its always covering the climate controls, thanks for the tip!

Thanks tbone, appreciate the comment, aside from covering the climate controls, I absolutely love the deck!

I haven't had any issues at all so far. Compared to a lot of other flip outs, this one has a very user friendly interface, not to mention very clear (a lot of screens look pix-elated). All the functions work great such as bluetooth, dvd's play crystal clear, back-up cam is great, etc.

Thanks! I love your set up! I was thinking about also switching up the door speakers as well.
