vibration at highway speeds

ever since i had my motor mounts changed at the dealership, my car hasn't been running smoothly. could it be caused by the air filter not being attached properly by mercedes, which caused my car to stall so many times that same day that I almost couldn't make it home?

now between 55-70 mph, the car, the seats, and the console shake. it also idles at around 500 rpm, which i don't remember it doing before i had this problem. is this fixable? i just want it running like how it used to. any suggestions/comments would be appreciated.

I don't think the two are related. Generally, motor mount vibration happens at lower rpms such as at idle. Once the rpms rise the spinning flywheel dampens everything out. Of course, it they forgot to properly reassemble the air cleaner box maybe they forgot something else.

A vibration at 50-70 suggests a suspension problem or wheel balance. The front and rear suspension uses a number of rubber bushings which wear out causing vibration. You need to inspect for that. Preferably someone who is familiar with MBs. Any good tire shop can check wheel balance.

500 rpm is a little low but not by much. I think the spec is 575 rpm. To check or adjust requires an SDS at dealer or high end independent.

FYI - anything is fixable if your pockets are DEEP enough.
