W210 Headliner repair in Houston
Any recommendations for a shop to repair a sagging headliner in the Houston area?
Also interested to know what others have paid, experiences, etc.
Thanks in advance,
Peter

one artist whom I'm familiar with could probably do the trick but not for those
on a budget. guy name Sunil, who used to frequent the MB forums but now
too busy. very thorough knowledge of the Benz and also has his own SDS
and knows how to use it. replacing a headliner may be a light job for him...
though his skills are in retrofitting and converting MB parts and features in
a manner similar to Steve in the Netherlands

Have you guys checked out www.<cite class="_Rm">masterautobodyshop.com
They do a good job. I got my front 2 seats on my E430 reupholstered (releathered). I got the elbow thing releathered too. I didn't know that it could be possible. They said it is much cheaper than to replace the whole unit. They can also add heated leather seats if you want. I didn't know they offer that until after the fact. If you decide to add the heating element, make sure you tell them to it before they releather it so they can do it all at one time. It is much cheaper that way. They did my headliner. They replaced the driver's seat belt tensioner. I got my fog lights fixed. Only thing I have left to do is replace the driver and passenger side mirrors and replace the cup holder assembly. The stupid drivers's side has an autodim feature that makes it cost 900 dollars as opposed to the passenger's side which is 400 dollars.

Yeah, thats a pretty good price. They also can order the OE (original equipment) parts and you can install them yourself if you are mechanicially inclined. The E430 has so many problems on it. It's crazy. Like the radio button knob they made for them are like a cheap rubber and it cant even take the houston heat or humidity. I am waiting for the part to come in through ebay. Then random stuff started happening. Like the rubber gaskets and seals on the exterior are coming off. They can also replace those too as well. Those guys referred me to a place called Alpine Motorworks. http://www.alpinemw.com/
I haven't had engine problems as of yet.

I also highly recommend http://affordableautoglass.com/ Affordable Auto Glass. I put a clear tint on my front windshield which I didn't even know about. It made a huge difference on all my cars. I dont have to crank the AC all the way to high now.
