Crankshaft Position sensor? Not sure if the e300 had one but mine went bad and the motor would die with no warning.

It's a pain in the A-----look under hood drivers side rear engine before bell housing---use a flashlight first!! If I remember correctly it's fastened with an 8mm key

Something strange happen the car is running without problem so far. This is what I did while analyzing how to remove the sensor. I noticed fuel on top of the filter, my mistake was I forgot to change the small o ring that holds the filter. after replaced the o ring the car been running with no problem. I hope the cause is the air in the fuel.I will observe for awhile and will go ahead and change the sensor for peace of mind.
Thanks again

Finally replaced the sensor its not really hard to do I use 5mm hex bit with universal and long extention. I did not find any spacer in the sensor. when I made the order thru on line there is a note "use same spacer or get it from the dealer". is anyone aware of this spacer.

I am at a loss to understand a spacer requirement, however did you compare lengths of the old with the new before inserting the new!!

Yes I did side by side they look identical both are made by Bosch of Germany. I drive around few miles it seems runs good. I have no idea about the spacer. I will call autohausAZ to find out about spacer.
