ok, so opinions on e320 exhaust. For disclosure, I cut out my resonator and changed my pipe to flowmaster 40 series. Actually first flowmaster, but still not load enough, then cut out resonator. Just to be clear, Im not interested in custom exhaust from the front back, just a great sounding, reasonable performing result. Seems like added power when I put on the flowmaster, and stayed the same or even lost gas mileage when cut the resonator. Whats reality when it comes to back pressure etc? For the record I love the way it sounds and next year will probably go loader(10 series flowmaster unless someone has a great pipe suggestion) and maybe put back on the resonator if someone can prove that its better. Curious

The reality is while freeing up some pressure will increase HP and mileage, too low pressure will have the opposite effect. That's why putting a 5 inch pipe on a stock engine mustang will make them lose power. With cats deleted and brabus muffler, I noticed slightly better sound, a little more power and better throttle response. I still have my resonator in.

theres a few vids on you tube. You tube -custom exhaust e320 mercedes or such. The stock exhaust is very smooth and refined and quiet. They do a perfect job with it. I went for agressive. mine is quiet until youre in the upper range , so you can be subtle til you jump on it.
