speedo issues after led install

So I decided to put leds in my instrument cluster. After installing them I noticed as I accelerate my speedometer seem to be sticking. It still moves but its jumping in increments till it reaches 40. When slowing down it is smooth. Could it be getting caught on the bulb somewhere internally? Or is it an electrical issue that has surfaced?

If you wana solve your problem, return the old bulbs. Then do some reading!!!

I've found that under regular acceleration its fine but under moderate acceleration is when it starts to have issues. I had no issues till i pulled my cluster out. I've done some searching and haven't found anything like I'm experiencing.

Id put the stock bulbs back in and see if the problem persists. If you are still having the issue with the stock bulbs, check the ribbons behind the cluster and make sure youre getting good contact to the plugs and none of the ribbons are cracked/worn.

So it looks like it was the bulbs that was causing the issue. Anyone have an insight on why this this would happen just from a bulb change?

You must have skipped class when that topic came up---simply-- led's depend upon current and incandescent bulbs depend upon voltage and therefore there are circuit differences!!-----like I say do some reading before putzing with you car!!

I've never had an issue with any other car I've ever change to leds in the gauges. The back of the gauges says 2 watts for the t10 bulbs. The leds were rated at 1.5 watts. Didn't think that would be an issue.
