2002 Mercedes Benz E320
Transmission Advice
I have a 2002 MB E320 that I purchased in April of 2014. Despite its beautiful and clean exterior and interior, it had 185K miles on it. I have had the oil and oil filter changed but yesterday I heard a light whirring noise so I turned it off. I started it back up and didnt hear it any more until about 3 minutes after restart and came to a stop light. When the light changed, I gave it gas to go but didnt move. Only revved my engine. I managed to get it to a parking lot and checked wat I could. Theres no leak, no burned smell or anything. I started the car again and it drove ok until I came to another traffic light where it did it again but this time the check engine light came on. So I pushed to another parking lot. Anyway, my question is, does anyone have an idea of what this could be? I haven't done anything yet but im thinking of dropping the pan and changing the filter and fluid myself as I have an associate degree in automotive and not new to any mechanical services. Any advice or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Out Of Control!!
Well if the CEL came on there is a fault---Have the fault read and that will be your starting point to find out why!!
I would not waste any money on filters and fluids untill I found out what was wrong, that is if you know the fluid is filled to spec!!
