Hey guys, I ran into some trouble installing a pioneer mvh-x360bt head unit in my 98' E320 wagon. I connected all the wires properly and the deck is receiving power, however there's no sound coming through. I took it to best buy and was told I needed to connect the amp turn on wire that came with the vw9000 harness I purchased for the instal. My problem is that I don't know where to put the amp turn on wire out of the four positions possible on the harness. And once it's in do I connect it to the system remote control wire coming out of the deck?

I hate to sound like the typical "do a search" guy......but I found what I needed for my 02' by searching. I chose to use the cigarette lighter as my aux power source, but I think my 02 with Bose is different than your 99 when it comes to wiring. From what I've seen on the web none of the harnesses for these are not without some additional figuring out.

So if you have main power, tap in to the lighter for aux power to see if it works and decide from there how you'd like to proceed for permanent installation.

Insert the Blue/White wire next to the Red (Accessory) wire and above the Orange/White (Illumination) wire. Connect that wire to the Blue/White (remote turn-on) wire on your Pioneer radio.
