Hard to steer- need help from Schwarznegger

2002 E320 4 matic just had rear shops, pump and bladders replaced. When it came back, steering almost impossible to turn unless you're Arnold Schwarznegger. Brought it back and they bled the system which didn't help. Now I'm told I also need a new steering rack. Wondering what was wrong in the first place. Is there a filter piece that may be clogged between the pressure lines and the rack? Considering there wasn't a problem before the pump was replaced, could the change have brought on the problem? Before I spring for the new rack, can I check this out any possible way?

You install oEm parts with the same (or replacement) part numbers? i'm pretty sure the problem is not the steering rack seems to be a pump related problem my friend

Thanks for the reply, Fabio. Shop used replacement parts and they checked all numbers and fitments according to what they told me. What makes you think it might be the replacement pump (actually had the car repaired at one independent shop and checked at another - 2nd shop thought it was not accumulators but other reservoir so they replaced those for a major sum of money. FYI same car is in the shop today because the alternator failed. If you're interested- 135000 miles-

I think might be the pump cause the problem starts after replace the parts right? also the oil pump in the SLS comes with separated oil circuits, the oil suspension circuit is one, and steering oil is other, maybe the pump has some internal problem/ not bleeded. you check for steering oil level?
