AC won't blow cold air-2000 e320 sedan
Hey guys, a couple of weeks ago my A/C stopped blowing cold air. Took it to two mechanics and both told me that I needed to change the compressor, so I did and the car A/C still does not blow cold air. Now, I am told that I need to purchase a climate control unit. I wanted to save some money so I purchased one off of Ebay from 80 bucks. Is there some programming that I need to do for it to work? I installed the climate control unit, but it still won't blow cold air. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Out Of Control!!
Wada sucker---did you ever stop to think that all W210 you can self diagnose the faults and test the actual values to determine what is wrong with your system----First put the old control unit back and go to the stickies and do the tests--then post the test results and the faults--thats the starting point
and yes the new control panel has to be version coded to your car,but do the work in the first paragraph before you proceed!!

I ran the diagnostic and came up with 419 and 234.
Electromagnetic clutch and sun sensor. Please don't tell me that I could have just replaced the darn sun senor and that would have fixed it.

That's cool but wada-bout the AC control unit----where is that fault that would suggest faulty!!
Nope a faulty sun sensor just FU the auto fan position start!!
If you had 0419 before and clearing would not remove the fault---then yes I would replace the compressor with a new one----if you replaced with a used compressor and still get 0419 after clearing then the compressor is faulty and needs to be replaced---if this is the case then you are cool aid!!
