AMG 2000 Bodykit "duraflex" type
I own a 97 e320 and I was looking for one of these inexpensive "duraflex" type body kits to upgrade the look of my car. I am looking for a 2000 AMG style bodykit but the AMG style kits I find are never the right one! Does anyone know where I could find one? and also, if I was to just get a real 2000 AMG kit from a junker would it fit the 1997 model?

I can relate, I've been looking for a decent/affordable AMG kit for my 99. From my hours of research and to answer your question, a OEM 2000 AMG kit rear bumper and side skirts fit, however the front bumper does not.
On the W210's, Mercedes gave the 2000-2002 models a facelift which composed of a slightly different hood, fenders, headlights. IMO, I would suggest staying away from the Dura-Flex and go OEM, I have only heard of failing results trying to fit em correctly as they require heavy prepping and labor, when all said and done you could have put an OEM kit on for the same price.
My intentions are to find a 99 AMG front bumper and do it that way, but the downside is they are extremely rare to come by, when you do they are bondo'd junk.
Hopefully someone will chime in here and can give a better suggestion on a aftermarket route since I don't have much experience on them.

the 00-01 AMG kits are sooo better looking. The 96-99 AMG kit doesnt look very sporty, almost looks like its just a stock kit. Then again I guess thats better then that horrid black trim that is around the bottom edges. Never been a fan of the Lorinser or Brabus style kits because IMO I dont think the look suits the car and looks kind of tacky. You would have thought that someone would have made a custom kit with the 00-02 AMG look that fits the 96-99's by now, oh well. Lets hope I can find something that appeals to me because my searching has turned up the same old stuff day after day.
