Remove the parts from the car, clean/degrease them, paint them.
Maybe try using plastidip so you are not fully committed.

Every item that you paint needs to be sanded, i am not to sure with chrome parts though..you may need to sand to take the shine off and etch prime before painting? best to google search though

Plasti-Dip is the way to go. Order online or even find it in the spray paint section at your Home Depot (they have it, but might be hidden on a bottom shelf). $5 per can.
Dip online has a gloss product if you want that. Spray on the matte dip in 4-5 light coats, and then follow with the gloss finish. Or skip the gloss finish.
If you don't like it, peel it off to go back to the original chrome finish.
The dip will last for years, and any stone-chip repair is just a simple re-spray after you tape it off (or remove the emblem/trim).
Much easier than perm black paint if you ever want to reverse the look.
