W210 Rear Wheel Bearing

Mercedes Gurus:

I am in need of some serious direction. I am replacing my wheel bearings on a W210 E-320 and would like to know if I need to remove the rear axle shaft in order to replace the rear wheel bearings?

I looked everywhere to see the step by step process, however the only thing that I was able to find was a Youtube clip of a guy replacing his rear wheel bearings on a BMW. Uncertain if the set-up is the same on both vehicles, I wanted to run this past some of you who may have attempted to replace your bearings in the past.

The very short answer is YES and assuming you have all the tools to pull and press the bearings, I would still suggest a 24hr subscription to MB WIS (18bucks) for all the removal and torque instructions!!Choose wisely!!
