need help with my e420

K so I bought a 97 e420 a few months back has 157k on it the other night the battery was dead so I jump started it and then the rpms started bouncing between 1000 and 1300 and even if I put the gas pedal to the floor the rpms will not go over 1300 I have tried driving it and same thing just bounces hitting 1300 and back down could this be from bad gas or the mass airflow sensor or throttle body needing cleaned?? Please help thank you
