HELP No rear lights
Hi
I have rear indicators and reverse light and also the brake light thats a strip on top of the window. The rest of my rear lights aren't working. This is on a 2000 E240. Could it simply be a fuse? If so what one and where would it be?
Thanks in advance
Mike

Your car has three fuse panels. One under the hood (rear drivers side), one at the end of the dash adjacent to the headlamp switch and one under the right rear passenger seat.
The one at the end of the dash contains the fuses for external lighting. Open the car's door to see the panel cover. Use a screwdriver or similar to pry off the cover. There's a notch for that. There should be a fuse panel card showing the fuse numbers and their service. Generally, it's a good idea to inspect the fuses with a multimeter if you have one. Another method is to replace a fuse with fuse of the same amperage (same color) and check to see if light is now functioning.
Most of this is described in your Owners Manual. If you don't have one, they are cheap at the dealer.
