Front brake shudder
Just another problem that im having, along with all the rest of them, i think my car is falling apart lol.
My front brakes tend to shudder after braking for a long distance ( down a big hill ) or after the brakes are heated, anybody else have this problem?

If you had new brakes fitted, did they make sure the back of the pads were flat, sometime there is a lump on the back that has to filed of, if not , the pad will rock, resulting in uneven ware and juddering, another problem could be warped discs. ??

Lol...plutoe, its only a rumour..havnt been serviced recently, the pads dont seem to be worn by looking at them though. Its only after being on the brakes for a long period, they dont shudder during normal driving

Brakes
'96 E320, 107K. I feel nothing wrong with my brakes when braking around town, sometimes a bit hard. But at free-way speeds, just a little harder braking gives a pronounced pulsation (or vibration?). My indie says plenty of pad left, so what could this be?

Maybe your wheels need re-balancing, are your steering joints okay, or any other suspension components, I have had vibration before on the motor way, rebalancing and new steering ball joints cured them

Good suggestion. I've already replaced the front wheel bearings and LCAs (w/ball joints, of course). Now, I will replace the outer tie rods and get a new alignment; we'll see.
