e430 18x8 35mm offset mono blocks
Hey I'm new to the forums but I had a question. I'm getting rep mono blocks for my e430 4matic I wanted to know how much I can lower my car before it rubs, was wonder if anyone has this set up. I was going to just get vogtland springs to drop it 1.6 inches but don't if that's to much or would I be in the clear , my car has 17 on it now and it has a bit of a gap

your ET is pretty normal and barring any bizarre tire size (which you've not
included) I'm not seeing any alarming reasons why the suspension couldn't
be lowered. the 1.5" will require aftermarket camber adjustment, realignment,
and depending on your tire model selection, may prove to be a bit on the harsh
side. you'll also need to replace your OE shocks as they'll probably bottom out

well, it is kind of like I implied above. lowering more than 1-1.25" should be
fitted with lowering shocks as you'll be 'pre-compressing' the shock already by
that amount. with the longer OE length shocks that has the potential to
bottom out during extreme road compression

Thanks man but I forgot to mention I have a 4matic so I was just going to save up and get d2 coilovers found some for 1,000 so I might as well just get the coil overs , but thanks for your input
