Intermittant Fob?
Hello, 1st post, recently purchased a 99 320. One owner nice cond. Problem is I only received 1 fob. Not comfortable with that I bit the bullet and dropped $240 on a new key from the dealer. So far so good... A few days later I went to start the car and It started and stalled. after two or three cycles of removing the key and trying again it started an ran fine. Ummm?
This happened a few more times over a few weeks and having read about all the CPS problems I thought that might be the issue. Changed, No difference. Does not seem to depend on cold vs. warm start. Borrowed my wifes key(the original) and noticed no problems. Went back to the new key and same problem. Maybe 8 of 10 good starts, 2 start and die. Again, multiple tries will start eventually. Back to old key, no problems. Anyone seen this? Any Ideas ? The dealer is an hour away and with my luck I know it won't fail when I'm there, or they will want to sell me a new EIS.

Out Of Control!!
Very strange, either live with the issue or take the new key back to the dealer---very difficult to guess without the diagnostic tools, alternative call management---what do they advise.
