W210 E320 1997 Mirrors
Hello Everyone, I have a 1997 Mercedes W210 E320 (Avantgarde) and I would like to know if the mirrors do fold either manually or automatically? I did not see any switch that would do it automatically. Do i have to fold it manually?

it is quite certain that the USA models do not have this feature. it is more of a
likelihood that the Euro models can be configured this way. I don't know how
Mauritius cars are set up.
if we in the US desire the mirror folding feature, we need to spend quite a sum
of money to have it custom retrofitted with parts designated for European cars

I have imported mine from England and i think that the folding mirrors option was not bought. Quite sad about it
It can neither be folded automatically as it returns to its normal position when i do it.

presumably, the wiring already exists for this feature and you would see spare,
unused leads in the harness. i saw this when I wired in LED light to my after-
market mirror covers as my 1999 model did not have this (didn't come out until
2000).
so you would need to buy the mirror unit complete with motor which handles the
retract/extend job. in addition, you would be looking for switch.
this guy used to travel around to perform this (and other desired MB original
equipment) feature modifications...on the chance you have the money to spend
on this retrofit.
