E320 4matic saved from the scrapyard
Bought this E320 from 1999 with 290.000 km. (180.000) for 7.000 kr. ($800) and I guess if I havent bought it it will eventually have gone to the eternal Autostrasse for Mercedes Benz cars
Have to put it back in shape . takes time and coast money - pics. tells the most ..

great job you are doing, especially doing it outside, you must get very cold, how long does it take for your fingers to go numb. what i would like to know is, where do you get the stands your car is resting on, I definately could do with a few of those as they seem to fit the rubber pads on the chassis and look very stable

For the jack stands then I made them myself easy to do some plate and a pipe about ψ200 mm. and two types of square bars that goes within each other drill some holes some welding and wupti you have some very stable jack stands . (pipe is not thicker than 2 mm. you can probably get some from a mill where they have corns and so .)
another type of jack stands that is VERY stable I also made you can see in my other build thread: https://mbworld.org/forums/sl55-amg-...ml#post5526734

do you have a job working in a machine shop, or do you have your own workshop, the tools you make yourself must save you a fortune, its great that you have knowledge to do everything yourself, and if you do'nt, you know where to look for it.

By now hopefully you have decided to open up a shop called "The Sweden 210 Shop" and have all of that business in Sweden. How about a vacation to Seattle! We can have a drinking, talking and working get together. I get dibs on either the drinking or talking segment.
You have done a great job and I hope that you get another 500,000km out of it.
