Respray rear bumper chips
Sorry if this is a re-post. I have a 1998 E320 with the paint code 891. I have some paint chips in my rear bumper. This winter has really put a toll on the car's paint. My major chip is on the rear drivers side of the rear bumper and that was caused by me . The bolt on the snow blower stuck out and chipped the paint.
I found that the rear bumper has 3 bolts holding it in and its easy to take off. I am not worried about that. I wanted to know if anyone has done some re-spray at home and what techniques you used to re-blend in the paint and where did you purchase the spray paint from and how did it turn out. I don't want a picture frame effect on the area I plan to tackle.
I found many online shops selling re spray kits with my paint code just wanted to get some feedback on if anyone has done this type of project at home and if you have any tips.
