Power to instrument panel

Which pin or location can I use to get 12V to an instrument panel that is out on the workbench? I am trying to see the mileage of the donor car as well as see where the piezzo electric door bell chime is.

I wish it was that simple, therefore I suggest you get a copy of PE5430p2000g your cluster wiring diagram--be prepared to toast your IC.

Or you can use a handy dandy multimeter to find the 12v socket on the plug attached to the wiring harness. Plutoe is right though, I wouldnt let the cluster see more than 2-3 amps on the workbench.

If im not mistaken, I think theres a sticky on Benzworld on moving the mileage chip from one cluster to another.... Im not sure how feasible it is, but it might be easier than trying to power the cluster while it's off of the car. Also, most competent indie shops will reprogram it for you with the correct mileage for cheap or nothing.
