Impressive mileage

160k miles and 15 yrs and still posting impressive numbers. Only thing changed on this engine was plugs (once at 100k), alternator and belt pulley. Still runs like new!

I have replaced the radiator due to a leak, water pump (bearing play), lower control arms, sway bar bushings, cut half a coil on the front springs and installed #1 pads and #2's out back. I only replaced one rear window regulator, I lube the tracks every few months, trans conductor plate, flush every fluid every 30k, headlight harnesses fell apart (replaced harnesses), no rust whatsoever on this car, still flawless original paint, interior is absolutely mint with not one year or crack, ditched the factory wheels for staggered 18's. I will go to the grave with this car! Most comfortable, safe, fun to drive gas hog I've ever driven lol I love my 210 and will never trade it for anything else! Rock on guys!
Like the look! Had mine for about 7or 8 years. About to change lower control arms & ball joints.,maybe spring on left side. Getting some vibration when braking.Like the body style too. Would love to get an e55 same body style as I have now. Don't see many here in Midwest for sale.
Would like to change wheels on mine once a few other things are taken care of.

2003 e320 4-matic wagon, 1995 e320 Cabriolet, 1983 300D
Bought my titled 2003 W210 4matic wagon 15 months ago with 109k miles, Car came from NY and had a lot more rust that I could easily see. Shortly after purchase trans went had had to be replaced along with the TCU which I bought on ebay. Since then I have replaced one frozen front brake caliper, the rear hydraulic shock accumulators, brake lines to the rear (rust), the black box for the headlights, windshield washer pump, one coil on a sparkplug, the passenger seat activation sensor the electronic ignition control (aka switch) and key ($1,300), the emission canister under the fender by the fuel fill, the CD player and the battery.
I still need to replace the sunroof cables, replace the AC control resistor, the neon time and temp displays on the IP and get the Teleaid re-programmed to disable so it stops displaying. Most irritating that so much is dependent on the proprietary Mercedes Star diagnostic equipment not only because of cost but also because of convenience since the dealer is 110 miles away.

All of the repairs were completed 10 months ago. Since then nothing new has cropped up.

Now that it is working well, my wife and I have made several trips of 1,00o miles or more. One of them was across the Appalachian mountains in a heavy snow storm. The car is a dream to drive which which is why I have kept it despite everything.

W210 E55T
I've had my e55 for 4 years now. Only issue was noise from fan clutch or water pump Doi changed both. Then basic maintenance. Headliner needs to be redo. I did a lazy job. I had an e320 before and loved it's practically but wanted more power. Loving these cars so much I bought an e430 4matic for my father. I wanted a w211 e55 but after researching the cars and talking with the stealership, I decided to keep my W210. It's the last mostly diy car. Repair cost rise dramatically with the W211. There are low mileage w211 on sale here from $3000!!! My dealer friend bought a W211 with 50,000 for $4500.!! The W210 have bottomed and the better examples should start the appreciate I think.
Is there another car on the market that offers, the performance, maintenance cost and resale ability of these cars? For my e55 wagon there really isn't. Who else has a 350bhp wagon that stops and corners?

Mercedes Benz 1996 E320 AMG White
96 e320 200k miles. Had the valve cover replaced today along with the spark plugs and the wiring harness for the plugs ( one wire pretty much fell apart while removing the plugs at the shop, so I had the whole harness replaced. The car is running so smooth now and all I really have left to work on it is a differential end flex disc, diagnose the egr valve code, and replace the hood (can't see it in the photos but the hood as a dent that looks like a hatchet was taken to it and left a rust gash. I don't like that the drain plug of the differential leaks, but it leaks so slowly that it doesn't really matter that much. Almost a week after doing a drain and fill of the differential and not one drop has leaked out of the plug or the gasket.

My '01 E430 is 17 years young, she's only got 60k on the odometer! I grew up in that car and it was later passed onto me by my pops when I got my license, so it has a ton of sentimental value to us. So smooth, drives like it's on clouds plus the classic bug eye look is so unique.

I like that he has "Mercedes Benz 1996 E320 AMG White" in his profile. I hope he didn't buy that car thinking it was an AMG. Those headlights don't look like they fit the car correctly at all either.

edit: Just noticed the badges are in the wrong location too.

Yep, I generally keep my cars pretty clean.

Right now it's what I consider to be filthy after having been driven in the rain for the last couple of days. It's kind of cold out today so I just don't feel like going out and washing it. It's also supposed to rain Tue/Wed. I'll wash it after that.

Or just get rid of the add attachment thing all together. I prefer to host pictures elsewhere.

260K 20 Years Old Still Drives Like New

Here is my 99 e320 with 260K miles. 20 years old. Still drives like new. I keep on top of the maintenance and plan on keeping her for as long as I can.

I too have a failing headliner. The fabric on the sunroof totally failed due to the sliding and there's nothing but cardboard now. I'll never find the same color and hand, so I've picked a nice complement and hope I can get it to stick properly. Please post how your repair goes. There's lot's on Youtube, but they do more disassembly than I hope to do.

I ordered 3M spray headliner glue and hope I can get it to stick back up without completely disassembling the roof.

My old girl has tired joints. I have been getting inner edge tire wear and clunking suspension.
Today new front upper control arms came yeah!! Clearly there were original. The ball joint flopped around like...um...dead chicken head. Due to a faulty torque wrench I snapped the upper bolt. Of course it a 3 day weekend so no part until Wednesday at earliest. I guess it this age joint and bushings have dutifully served their time.

Had the same problem with A/C running 5 minutes then cutting off. Was the "evaporator sensor" which is located behind the dash above the brake pedal deep somewhere (i'm not all that mechanical). The MB dealer wanted over $2,000 since they said the whole dash would have to be pulled out. A more imaginative mechanic was able to get to without moving heaven and earth to replace the $75 part. Total repair was ~$350. Just finished my 2nd summer in hot Atlanta and the A/C worked good.

BTW - the A/C is under-designed as far as I'm concerned; esp if you live in hot-n-humid environments. Even when it was newer the A/C never came close my Japanese cars or especially, say my 1970's General Motor cars.

Have someone check that evaporator sensor.
