Power Windows and Side Mirrors not working
Recently I had a upholster fit a new roof interior lining to my WBD 210 E Class 230 classic 97 . The power windows and side mirrors all worked perfectly before the guy fitted the new interior roof lining however since then neither the windows or mirrors are working. I have checked fuses and all seem ok - Does anyone know what the problem may be

That was the fault for me, and I had the exact same problem as you regarding windows and power mirrors not working.

Out Of Control!!
That is a very expensive part and was not removed or touched to replace a head liner. Although the issues are the same I seriously doubt that the switch assy is the source---well then what is a potential source--the mechanic or you will need to understand the window circuit and all the components in that circuit--that understanding is learned with good diagnostics----the alternative is start the HS approach, which most parts houses love, because of all the poor guesses and added parts sales--in any event there are two different solutions--choose wisely!!

May be a wild idea, but after a body shop helper ran by battery down I had a similar issue, and used the ol' start the car, turn steering wheel all the way one direction, then the other to reset my window/mirror functions. I think it was from a tip I found using the search button above. I'm old and don't remember the specifics, but it took care of my problem.
