210 water in headlight, parking light

What gasket failure is it that allows a small amount of water to get in the headlight/parking light lenses?

Once you take the assy out all will be clear---I bet one or more of the spring clips(that tighten) are off allowing moisture to collect!!---some one did a very sloppy bulb replacement job!!

i'll weigh in with these ideas:

if it is condensation, it will be due to venting issue (from the rear) i.e. warm moist
air condensing on cold surface. this is not uncommon with w210 and there has
been a TSB on this. this can also be from water on hot engine entering as
vapor through headlight vent

if it is pool of water, then it would be from seepage through a seam (during car
wash or driving through rain)
