So my 1999 E300TD started making a strange random clicking sound at idol about a week ago. Then today while driving it started making a loud screaching belt sound. When I popped the hood I found this part had come unattached and was rubbing against the belt. Please help me identify this part and furthermore please let me know if it is unsafe to drive with this part unattached. Thank you.
