Remote window roll-down/up not working
I have worked out a number of kinks in my "new" E320 wagon, but I can't get the remote window open/close to work. I have four working remotes that came with the car: One original and the others are newer models. They all work, as far as unlocking the doors, starting the car, and remote buttons, but will not work the windows.
My understanding is that if I point the remote at the driver or passenger door handle and hold the unlock button, the windows should roll down. Nothing happens with any of the remotes.
I know that the IR sensors may not be working... but it would have to be both driver and passenger, right? Is it common for both to be bad? I do have a W210 sedan that I can strip parts from if necessary.
Any suggestions/wisdom?

Out Of Control!!
You could have saved your time and bandwidth if you had read the manual----the convience functions are all infrared portion of the key and if the system has no faults all you have to do is hold the lock and or unlock pad and point to the door handle and the open windows/sunroof will close--therefore you either have a bad key or door handle sensor. Find another MB key and try------do they close!!!

I'm guessing you only read the title of my post. Let me be more clear: I tried this with four different keys and two different doors. My question is: what's the more likely culprit, bad keys, bad door sensors, or something I am missing?

MBWorld Fanatic!
IR sensor may be bad (try careful polishing)
IR transmitter may be bad (try careful polishing)
also thinking that of door reported as open, it may not function
am pretty sure there isn't a toggle on/off for this feature
